Leadership Program

The Youth Summit is just the beginning of DMECC and HEBE’s broader leadership journey, designed to build on the skills, confidence, and connections developed during the summit. More than a one-time experience, it opens the door to deeper involvement in our international programs—DMECC in China and HEBE in France—where participants can engage in multi-year opportunities. Through the core initiatives of Mother English, Curious Kids, and Our Home, young leaders continue to grow, working with diverse communities and making meaningful contributions on both local and global levels. This extended pathway empowers participants to lead with purpose and become lasting agents of change.

The Pyramid Structure

HEBE and DMECC operate within a pyramid-style leadership structure, where continued involvement leads to greater responsibility and impact. As participants gain experience, they can move up through different levels, each requiring more commitment and offering deeper opportunities for growth. Progressing from one level to the next typically involves attending a Youth Summit, which acts as a gateway to new roles and challenges. While advancement is encouraged, participation is always flexible—students are free to step away at any time. More details on the structure and levels can be found in the Leadership Timeline below.

(2 Days)

Social Good Phase
(4 months)

Team Collaboration Phase
(6 months)

Idea Development Phase
(12 months)

Participants will embark on their first-ever Youth Summit experience, marking the beginning of their leadership journey. This immersive event introduces them to key global issues, collaborative problem-solving, and practical leadership skills, all within a supportive, team-based environment. It’s a chance to build confidence, connect with peers from around the world, and take the first step toward deeper involvement in HEBE and DMECC’s leadership programs.

Following the Youth Summit, participants will enter a four-month phase focused on Social Good. During this time, they will take part in community-building activities and develop projects aimed at creating positive change in their local environments. This phase provides a meaningful opportunity to apply the leadership skills, collaboration strategies, and global insights gained during the summit. It’s a hands-on experience that bridges learning with real-world impact.

Following the Social Good phase, participants will attend the Youth Leadership Summit Level II, which builds on the foundation laid during their first summit and community-based work. This advanced summit focuses on developing soft skills, business acumen, and conflict resolution—essential tools for effective leadership in more complex environments. After the Level II summit, participants will be placed into one of 20 teams for a six-month collaboration phase, where they will work on targeted projects or initiatives. This stage offers hands-on experience, deeper team dynamics, and real-world application of leadership skills. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate and a letter of recommendation, recognizing their commitment and growth throughout the program.

Invitations to the Youth Executive Summit are extended four months before the event to participants who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication throughout the program. This exclusive summit offers advanced training and development opportunities, preparing participants for key leadership roles within DMECC and beyond. The program’s final phase spans 12 months, during which participants focus on developing and implementing innovative solutions to real-world challenges. This stage allows them to apply the full range of skills and knowledge gained throughout their journey. Upon completion, participants receive a detailed letter of recommendation and an introduction to internship opportunities with our corporate partners.
